The Solar HUB Bus Shelter located on 400 E. Wonsley in Austin was a project requested by the City of Austin Transportation, the University of Texas at Austin, and other departments and organizations. The goal was to fill the need of providing self-sufficient bus shelters and access to transportation for areas that are in need of mobility services.
SAT Energy was able to come up with a design to fit the needs of what each of the departments wanted and bring the structure to life. The Solar HUB structure is a fully off-grid solar powered bus station that is able to allow people to charge their phones, charge their scooters/e-bikes and be safe at night with energy efficient lighting as they wait for their rides.
