Since the beginning, the Homestead community park, playground, and pavilion had little to no lighting to help illuminate the area, making the whole park completely dark at night. As everything was dark, community residents were not able to make use of the park once the sun set in the evening. Installing electrical cables and conduit throughout the park would have been too costly and require over hundreds of feet of trenching and digging.

SAT Energy was able to provide a solution of installing off-grid solar LED light fixtures at certain locations throughout the community park, playground, and pavilion. With the Park now having sufficient outdoor lighting at night, neighbors can freely use the area at night in a better and safer fashion. The community is also able to save greatly on their energy costs as the solar light fixtures are self-sufficient and do not require any electrical grid connections to stay powered on throughout the night.
