The Laurel Mountain Ranch community contained a major section of the entrance roadway without any street lighting. The HOA’s park area and trail path also did not have any other forms of lighting making the park completely dark at night. The neighborhood wanted to add lighting and security cameras on the roadway and the park area but installing electrical wiring and conduit would have made the entire project highly expensive.
SAT Energy proposed an off-grid solar powered lighting solution for both the street section that was originally dark as well as for the park area and its path trail. The solar powered LED light fixtures would also operate a IP security camera system in which the HOA Board can use and monitor for safety purposes. By installing the solar powered light fixtures with security cameras, the HOA is saving on their energy costs while also providing security for its previously darker areas.
