The Overlook HOA had several mailboxes located throughout their gated community. The neighborhood itself contained minimal street lighting apart from the lighting coming from the residential homes. The priority for this project was to brighten up the mailbox pods at night while at the same time not disturb nearby homes with any intrusive lighting.

SAT Energy installed solar LED light fixtures for each mailbox pod in the neighborhood.  Each of the solar LED lights were able to illuminate the mailbox pods effectively without disturbing any nearby homes with additional lighting. SAT Energy was able to properly install the lights to focus on the mailbox while also complying with the local Dark Skies ordinance. Now residents are able to see and access their mailbox safely at night without any added electrical utility costs through the use of solar powered LED lighting.
